25 to 28 April 2014, which was selected as the 27th is a public holiday – and the week following includes 1st May - making this an ideal time to take an extended break and explore the Kwazulu Natal's Midlands, Coastal and Mountain areas!
Open to all BMW motorcycles and their owners, the BMW Bike Fest will be based at KZN Wildlife - Midmar Resort is on the shores of Midmar Dam which is on the Umgeni River - and is centrally located to explore Natal Midlands, the Valley of a Thousand Hills, Sani Pass and a choice of visiting the North and South coast of Natal. Approximately 100 km from Durban, and 500 km from Gauteng and Bloemfonten - KZN Wildlife - Midmar Resort beckons you to surrender to nature - wash away your worries and more fun than you could ever fit into one holiday!

For 1st timers - this is an owners' event, arranged by BMW Clubs Africa for BMW enthusiasts! This event has the full support of BMW Motorrad SA and the dealer network.
The day activities are completely your own choice.
The BMW MCC Durban is planning routes to show you all the great riding in the area, or explore on your own. Choices of tar and off-road routes will be on offer, giving you the opportunity to ride in unique areas on routes specially arranged for this event - these will be recced and made available as MapSource or Basemap routes before the event. Rides are not "led", so please ensure that you take the time before and do your own planning with your ride buddies.
The main organised activities are the evening dinners where you can rub shoulders with fellow riders, enjoy great local food, be entertained and win some fantastic prizes. Breakfast and lunch is optional and will be available at Midmar Resort or any of the local eateries. If you choose to have breakfast at Midmar: please book breakfast when you make your accommodation booking as well.
